Swim, Monkey, Swim!
The animals hold a swimming competition. Saru-kun, a proud little monkey, refuses to admit he can't swim and joins the race. He jumps in confidently but quickly starts to sink. Oddly, the pool's floor is covered in seaweed and coral, and a kappa-a mischievous water spirit-lives there. After a struggle, Saru-kun snatches the saucer from the kappa's head. The kappa offers a deal: if Saru-kun returns the saucer, he’ll carry him across the pool. Saru-kun agrees and rides on the kappa's back, gliding through the water as if he’s swimming on his own. He wins the race effortlessly-but how will it all end?
