Sumikko Gurashi: The Pop-up Book and the Secret Child

Sumikko Gurashi first appeared in 2012 as a group of characters with a quiet, introverted nature-they prefer staying in the corners of rooms. The main characters are "Shirokuma," a polar bear who dislikes the cold; "Penguin?," a penguin that questions its own identity; "Tonkatsu," an uneaten piece of pork cutlet; "Neko," a timid cat; and "Tokage," who conceals the fact that he’s one of the last surviving dinosaurs. Over the years, the franchise has expanded into toys, books, stationery, video games, and most recently, a full-length movie.
