Shakugan no Shana: The Movie

Crimson Denizens and Rinne, creatures from another world, feed on the essence of human existence. To maintain balance, Flame Hazes hunt these beings down. Yuuji Sakai knows nothing of this hidden war. His day begins like any other as he heads to school, but everything changes when time suddenly stops around him. While everyone else remains frozen, a Rinne appears, consuming the souls of those nearby. Just as it turns toward Yuuji, a Flame Haze with fiery red hair and a katana intervenes, saving him. After repairing the damage, the Flame Haze explains the truth: Yuuji is now a Torch-a fading remnant of a human life, doomed to disappear from memory. Worse, he is also a Mystes, a Torch carrying a powerful treasure that Crimson Denizens will hunt. Until his flame burns out, the Flame Haze vows to protect him. Though Yuuji grapples with the revelation that he is already dead, he decides to make the most of whatever time he has left.
