Secret of Cerulean Sand

Jane’s mother dies in childbirth, and her father, a wealthy English nobleman, quickly remarries a woman with a son of her own, William, who resents his new father and half-siblings. Jane and her brother George grow up sharing a dream of building a flying machine. George becomes convinced that the secret to flight lies in a rare cerulean sand, rumored to exist in the distant deserts of Asia. He sets off on an expedition to find it, only to later be declared a traitor and executed. William vanishes around the same time. When Jane receives an anonymous letter containing a handful of strange blue sand that floats in the air, she becomes certain George is still alive. She leaves for the East, determined to find him and clear his name. Along the way, she uncovers many secrets with the help of new allies-but some mysteries, perhaps, were never meant to be solved.
