In Japan, they use the term "hikikomori" to describe people who withdraw from society, shutting themselves away at home for weeks or even months. For Sasami Tsukuyomi, a high school freshman struggling with this isolating lifestyle, the word hits close to home. Luckily, she lives with her older brother Kamiomi, who teaches at the very school she’s meant to attend. She also has her "Brother Surveillance Tool," a computer setup that lets her observe the outside world-ideally helping her ease back into social interaction. But mostly, it just gives her a front-row seat to Kamiomi’s strange encounters with the Yagami sisters, three eccentric girls who appear to have had their ages reversed and who each harbor some kind of "interest" in him. Then things take a turn for the bizarre-magical abilities, objects turning to chocolate... Is Sasami’s perception warped by her digital isolation, or is the universe itself unraveling?
