Phoenix: Karma Chapter

A skilled sculptor named Akanemaru embarks on a quest to find inspiration for his greatest work-a sculpture of the mythical Phoenix. Along the way, he crosses paths with Gaou, a bitter, one-eyed bandit missing an arm. Though Akanemaru means no harm, Gaou, who despises the world, violently assaults him and steals his belongings. After their encounter, their lives drift apart. Years pass, and Akanemaru is forced to give up his artistic ambitions for a new duty, while Gaou is struck by sudden misfortune-a cruel twist of fate that alters both their paths forever. Unbeknownst to them, destiny will bring them face-to-face again, but this time as adversaries. Set in Japan's Nara period, "Hi no Tori: Houou-hen" delves into the delicate interplay of choices and consequences, following two men who must eventually reckon with the weight of their actions.
