A mysterious, eerie song pulls elementary school student Sorata Suzuhara from the Heisei Era into the past, landing him in the year 1919 aboard a futuristic ship named Norn9. The vessel floats above towns that look like they belong to the Meiji or Taishō period, carrying a group called The Gifted-three girls and eight boys, each with unique powers. While searching for a way back home, Sorata uncovers astonishing truths about the world and the nature of time and space.
