Mushi-Uta

The story of "Mushi-uta" is set in the near future. Ten years before the events begin, mysterious insect-like creatures called "Mushi" started appearing. These Mushi can devour people’s dreams and thoughts in exchange for granting supernatural abilities. In the first episode, the protagonist, Daisuke "Kakkou" Kusuriya, meets a girl named Shiika Anmoto, and the two gradually grow close. What Kakkou doesn’t know is that Shiika escaped from a hidden prison called GARDEN, where those infected by Mushi-known as Mushitsuki-are imprisoned. GARDEN’s elite military unit, the Special Environmental Conservation Executive Office, sends its deadliest assassin to capture Shiika. But they face opposition from the rebel group Mushibane, led by the enigmatic "Ladybird."
