Monochrome Factor
High school student Akira Nikaido is an ordinary slacker coasting through life-until the enigmatic Shirogane shows up, claiming they share an intertwined fate. Akira dismisses it as nonsense. But one night, when his friend Aya forgets something at school and asks him to help retrieve it, he’s ambushed by a shadowy creature. Shirogane explains that the boundary between the human and shadow worlds has fractured, and Akira must become a "shin," a being of the shadow realm, to mend the imbalance.
