Midnight Occult Civil Servants
Miyako Arata has just been transferred to the Nighttime Regional Relations Department at the Shinjuku Ward Office. Like all of Tokyo's 23 wards, Shinjuku has one of these departments, which exist to handle paranormal and occult disturbances. Arata has a unique ability-he can understand the speech of non-human beings. His story starts when he meets a youkai in Shinjuku Gyoen park, one that mistakes him for the famous Heian-era exorcist, Abe no Seimei.
