Macross Zero

Set one year before the original Macross series, Macross Zero follows the last days of the war between the U.N. Spacy and anti-U.N. forces. When ace pilot Shin Kudo is shot down by the anti-U.N.'s advanced fighter plane, he ends up stranded on the isolated island of Mayan, a place with little technology. As Shin recovers from his injuries, the island's peace is broken by a battle featuring the U.N.'s newest fighter - the VF-0.
