Lord of Vermilion: The Crimson King
Tokyo, 2030. A strange, high-pitched sound echoes through a quiet suburb, followed by a thick red mist that blankets the town. Everyone who hears the sound-people and animals alike-falls unconscious. Authorities suspect an unknown virus, and fearing an outbreak, they isolate Tokyo from the rest of Japan. Half a year later, the victims wake up as if nothing happened. But on that very day, bizarre events begin unfolding, dragging the city into a spiral of grim and violent fates.
