Inuyasha the Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler

After their father Inu no Taishou’s death, his swords Tenseiga and Tessaiga were inherited by his sons, Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha. But there was a third blade. While visiting his friend Kagome Higurashi in the modern era, Inuyasha comes across Sounga-his father’s forgotten sword. Discovered long ago by one of Kagome’s ancestors inside the ancient well linking past and present, Sounga had been stored as a shrine treasure for generations. Yet it soon becomes clear the sword is cursed, housing a malevolent spirit driven by bloodlust. Inuyasha barely restrains its destructive power before taking it back to the feudal era, where he clashes with his brother Sesshoumaru, who has long sought the blade. But when their battle causes Sounga to vanish, the brothers race to recover it, still ignorant of the sword’s hidden truth and the legacy their father intended for them.
