Hakumei and Mikochi
In a world where people are just a few inches tall, Hakumei and Mikochi share a cozy home inside a tree. Hakumei is a lively, tomboyish carpenter, while Mikochi is a gentle, refined tailor. Though they’re opposites in many ways, they enjoy each other’s company and live happily together in the forest. Their days are filled with work, sightseeing, and trips to Tsumiki Marketplace by the sea. Along the way, they meet all sorts of friends-from talking animals like Iwashi the Weasel to other tiny folk, such as the singer Konju and the tinkerer Sen. It’s a peaceful glimpse into their daily lives as they wander and engage with their miniature world, which feels like something out of a storybook.
