The Hakkenden: Legend of the Dog Warriors

In feudal Japan, the Awa clan is on the brink of annihilation, facing a ruthless enemy backed by demonic power. Their desperate situation takes a strange turn when their lord makes a reckless vow-one that both saves and shames them. After their family dog delivers the head of the opposing warlord, it demands to wed the lord's daughter. Their unnatural marriage produces offspring, but when both are slain, their eight unborn pups are reborn as the Dog Warriors: the Hakkenden. Scattered and unaware of their shared destiny, these eight warriors embody the virtues of Bushido. As they gradually reunite, they wage brutal battles against demonic foes and corrupt samurai, fighting to restore their clan's honor.
