Haibane Renmei
A dream of tumbling through the sky...and then awakening. Rakka emerges from a large cocoon into the Old Home, where she is welcomed by winged women with glowing halos. As her own wings begin to grow and a halo is placed upon her, she learns she must take up work in the nearby town of Grie. But Rakka soon discovers that Grie-and the entire world she now inhabits-is trapped behind the Wall, an enormous barrier no one can cross except the enigmatic Toga.
