Glassy Ocean

Time has stopped. A whale emerges from a still, glassy ocean and drifts through the sky for hours with effortless grace. What sets this work apart is how the artist uses 3D computer graphics-reserved only for the frozen ocean and glaciers-to emphasize their weight and transparency, while everything else-the people, the whale, the ships-is hand-drawn. This stark contrast pulls the viewer into another world. It’s less an animation and more a visual poem, a pure work of fantasy. The project was a massive effort, and the outcome is breathtaking.
