Galactic Patrol Lensman

Kimball Kinnison, a young man about to leave home for further studies, finds his life upended when a Galactic Patrol ship crashes on his family’s property. The dying pilot gives him a strange, semi-sentient device called a Lens, which bonds with his hand. This event sets off a chain of upheavals-his father’s death, a harrowing space battle, and a fateful meeting with Chris, a Galactic Patrol nurse. Guided by the Lens, Kim steps into a vast, unfamiliar world of danger and possibility. When the fate of Chris and the universe itself hangs in the balance, he must act to save them both, no matter the cost.
