Makoto Nakazono has always been able to see grim reapers-shadowy figures who appear just before someone’s death to guide their soul away. Knowing no one would believe him if he spoke about it, he learned to ignore them, accepting that he couldn’t change anyone’s fate. But when a reaper at his high school suddenly addresses him, asking why he never intervenes, Makoto’s detachment shatters. He discovers the reaper is there for his closest friend, Hazuki Horiuchi.
