Calimero

Calimero is an Italian-Japanese cartoon about a small, unlucky black chicken who stands out in his family of yellow chickens. He’s known for wearing half of his eggshell on his head like a hat. The character first appeared on the Italian TV show "Carosello" in 1963 and quickly became a beloved figure in Italy. The series was later adapted into two anime versions in Japan. The first, produced by Toei Animation, aired from 1974 to 1975, while the second, with new settings and characters, came out in 1992. In total, 99 episodes were made. The show follows Calimero and his friends as they go on adventures, often solving mysteries or making documentaries-though their plans usually end in chaos. The first anime was also broadcast on several European networks, including TROS, ZDF, RTL II, and TVE.
