Boys be...
"Boys Be..." is a manga written by Masahiro Itabashi and illustrated by Hiroyuki Tamakoshi. It was adapted into a 13-episode anime series in 2000 by Hal Film Maker. Kodansha published three different "Boys Be..." manga series in Shukan Shōnen Magazine. In 2009, they announced a fourth series, "Boys Be... Next Season," which began serialization in the November 2009 issue of Magazine Special. The second manga series was licensed in North America by Tokyopop. The anime originally aired on WOWOW from April to June 2000. The Right Stuf International licensed it for North America, with the first DVD volume releasing on February 28, 2006. In the U.S., Comcast and other cable providers offered the series on-demand through the Anime Network. It also aired on AXN-Asia before the channel transferred its anime broadcasts to ANIMAX Asia, though unlike other AXN shows, it was not retained. Additionally, Spanish networks Jonu Media and K3 broadcast the series.
