In a near-future world overrun by parasitic creatures called Gastrea, humanity has been driven to the brink of extinction. Forced into a small, beleaguered territory, people live in constant fear and despair. Amid this darkness, Rentaro, a young man working for the "Civil Security"-a group dedicated to fighting the Gastrea-carries out perilous missions alongside his partner, Enju, a sharp-witted girl. Together, they rely on their unique abilities to hold the line against the relentless threat.
