Berserk - S01

Guts, a lone mercenary who will later earn the name "Black Swordsman," wanders from job to job, wielding a massive greatsword and never sticking with one group for long. That changes when he crosses paths with the Band of the Falcon. After finishing a job, Guts is ambushed by the mercenary band and defeats many of its fighters-until their leader, Griffith, steps in and bests him in a single strike. Knocked unconscious, Guts wakes up two days later in the Band of the Falcon's camp. He challenges Griffith to another duel, this time with a wager: if Guts loses, he must join their ranks. Still weakened from his injuries, he is defeated and forced to become one of them. Three years pass, and Guts rises to become one of the Band's top commanders. On the battlefield, his skill is unmatched except by Griffith himself, as he cuts down entire enemy forces alone. Together, Guts' strength and Griffith's leadership make the Band of the Falcon unstoppable. Yet beneath the surface, a dark force looms-one that will soon tear Guts' world apart.
