Ben-To

You Sato is a new high school student living in the dorms. While hunting for cheap food at the local market, he gets beaten up and left half-conscious, catching brief glimpses of a mysterious girl as he collapses. The next day, he pieces together his memories and learns that buying half-price lunchboxes is no simple task-every night, students brawl for the discounted meals. The girl from that night, Sen Yarizui, is an upperclassman known as the "Frozen Witch," one of the elite "Wolves" who rule the market. She explains the brutal hierarchy: Wolves eat well, while the weaker "Dogs" scrape by on cup ramen. Teaming up with Hana Oshiroi, a germaphobe with odd fixations, You sets out to prove whether he has what it takes to become a Wolf and savor the rewards of victory-or resign himself to the lonely fate of instant noodles in a foam cup.
